It was just another busy afternoon at the office when Sarah leaned over the cubicle wall.
“Hey, did you finish the report for tomorrow’s meeting?” she asked, tapping her pen against a notepad.
John looked up from his computer, a half-smile on his face. “Almost. I just need to double-check the numbers. You know how the boss gets if something doesn’t add up.”
Sarah chuckled. “Tell me about it. Remember last week? He practically dissected my entire presentation slide by slide.”
John shook his head. “That’s why I’m triple-checking. I’d rather stay late tonight than deal with that again.”
Sarah sighed, holding her coffee cup. “Guess that makes two of us. Want to grab a coffee later and complain about work some more?”
John grinned. “Now that sounds like a plan.”
