Woman Thinks She’s Entitled to Steal, Claims Police Harassment… But the Footage Says Otherwise

Police say a routine shoplifting call turned into a theatrical scene Tuesday afternoon after a woman accused officers of “harassment” — despite clear evidence she had stolen merchandise.

According to investigators, the woman, identified only as “Marissa,” was seen on store cameras stuffing beauty products and small electronics into her oversized purse before heading straight for the exit. When security stopped her, she immediately shifted into outrage mode.

“You can’t accuse me of anything! I deserve this stuff after what you people put me through!” she shouted, insisting she was the real victim.

By the time officers arrived, Marissa was already filming herself, yelling that the police were “targeting” her and claiming she was being “harassed for no reason.” But body-camera footage told a different story.

The video shows officers calmly asking her to empty her bag. Instead, she launched into dramatic speeches, pacing in circles, declaring that she “has every right to take what she needs” and that stores “should be grateful” she didn’t take more.

When officers finally inspected the purse, they found over $300 worth of unpaid items, all still with security tags attached.

Suddenly, Marissa’s confidence cracked.

“That’s not mine! Someone planted that!” she insisted — even though she had been recorded picking up every item.

After verifying the footage, officers issued her a citation and trespassed her from the store. She continued filming herself all the way to the parking lot, loudly promising to “expose the conspiracy.”

A police spokesperson later said, “Accusing officers of harassment doesn’t cancel out clear video evidence. Accountability still applies.”

The incident is now circulating online, with many viewers calling it “the most dramatic shoplifting meltdown of the month.”
