Pueblo, CO – A shocking scene unfolded in Pueblo this week after police arrested a woman who was caught forcing a young child into the trunk of her car.

Witnesses say they saw the woman struggling with the 5-year-old in a parking lot before shoving the child into the trunk and slamming it shut. Alarmed bystanders immediately called 911 and tried to intervene.

Officers arrived within minutes, stopping the vehicle before it left the area. Bodycam footage shows police ordering the woman out of the car at gunpoint before rushing to open the trunk. The child was pulled out frightened but unharmed.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been released, was taken into custody on multiple charges including child abuse and unlawful restraint.

The disturbing incident has sparked outrage across the community, with many praising quick-thinking bystanders and Pueblo police for preventing what could have been a tragedy.
