We lost the light, Patrik Hezucký passed away

It is difficult to find words to describe the void he left behind. A man who opened people’s eyes for decades with his voice, humor, and kindness, he left this world quietly, surrounded by those he loved most.

His friend, colleague and long-time broadcasting partner remembers the last moments at his bedside. He said that even then it was felt that the moment when his strength would begin to weaken was approaching. Patrik had a different expression in his eyes, he was breathing more slowly and seemed as if he was already preparing for the journey that everyone must go through at some point. Nevertheless, even in these moments he tried to appear calm and not burden those around him.

Three days before his passing, his closest friends gathered at his home – his family, his most loyal friends and the people who had accompanied him throughout his professional life. It was not a sad meeting in the traditional sense of the word, but rather a quiet, very personal farewell. They talked about shared experiences, about funny stories that were an inherent part of Patrik. There was laughter, sometimes tears, but most of all, immense love and gratitude for everything he brought to the lives of others.

Even though he was battling a deadly disease, his final days were filled with courage. He managed to be strong, calm, and until his last moments, he wished that his loved ones would not feel hopeless. He was a man who gave more to others than he received, and that is exactly how the world wanted to remember him.

His last words to the people who had listened to him, followed him, and supported him throughout his life were filled with humility. He expressed gratitude, appreciation, and hope. He thanked them for their support, for the strength they gave him, and for the fact that even in the most difficult moments he felt like he wasn’t alone. He smiled even when it hurt.

Patrik passed away at an age when he still had many plans and joys ahead of him. He left behind a wife, son, family, and thousands of people whose spirits he lifted every day. He was a symbol of kind humor, humanity, and sincerity, which we often lack in today’s world.
