A terrifying scene unfolded in a quiet neighborhood after police received calls about a toddler wandering on the roof of a damaged, debris-covered home. When officers arrived, they couldn\u2019t believe what they were seeing: a 3-year-old<\/strong>, barefoot and confused, standing dangerously close to the edge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neighbors watched in shock as officers carefully climbed up, trying not to startle the child. Pieces of the roof were broken, scattered with trash and clutter \u2014 making every step more dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With calm voices and steady hands, officers coaxed the toddler toward them and safely carried the child down. But the moment the mother arrived, the situation escalated even further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She sprinted toward the house, panicked and crying, screaming that she had only stepped out \u201cfor a minute.\u201d But officers immediately questioned how a three-year-old managed to get onto a roof littered with hazards \u2014 and why the inside of the home was reportedly in the same condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As police investigated the property and the child\u2019s safety, the mother\u2019s anxiety grew. She insisted she had no idea the child had climbed out, but officers had to determine whether this was a tragic accident\u2026
or something more serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The child was taken for medical evaluation, and child protective services were contacted as the investigation continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
