What he thought would be a simple drop-off quickly turned into a situation he wasn\u2019t prepared to handle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The driver tried everything \u2014 tapping the man\u2019s shoulder, raising his voice, even pulling over and opening the back door \u2014 but the passenger wouldn\u2019t wake up. With traffic rushing around him and no idea whether the man was sick, intoxicated, or in real danger, the driver made a decision he hoped he\u2019d never have to:<br><strong>he called the police.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers arrived within minutes. Bodycam footage shows them assessing the situation carefully, checking the man\u2019s vitals, and trying to wake him. After several tense moments, the passenger finally stirred, confused and barely able to speak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officers determined he was extremely intoxicated and unable to care for himself.
